Dalmore

The Dalmore is a Highland single malt. We sampled the 12 year old, which marked the first time sampling anything from this distillery. Its color is a dark copperish brown, but it tastes markedly lighter than it looks. Initially, hints of sweet maple are obvious. It melts smoothly as you drink it and turns into butterscotch. This is a delicious but simple single malt scotch. With a touch of water, this is possibly one of the smoothest scotches at this price range. A perfect place to start for someone who’s starting to look into the world of whiskey. Rating: 85/100 – Locally available for $55
